Corporate Sustainability

CBCL Limited fully supports the application of sustainable waste prevention techniques - the so-called 4Rs: reduction, reuse, recycling and recovery.

To improve our own sustainable practices internally CBCL Limited has established the TIM (Tomorrow in Mind) Committee. This volunteer based committee which reports directly to the firm’s Senior Management Group is tasked with benchmarking, monitoring and recommending improvements to our in house operations that reduce the negative environmental impact of our activities.

Waste Reduction

we use Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified paper with high content of recycled material
we encourage double sided printing of documents
we use cooled and on-site purified municipal water rather than bottled water

Energy Reduction

we utilize strategically located power saving multifunction printer/copiers
we promote alternative transportation options at our workplaces
we make use of technology where appropriate to minimize our impact on the environment including email, video conferencing, electronic faxing, teleworking/VPN etc.

Recycling

we have an extensive paper and tin can recycling program with a recycle container at every workstation
we are fully committed to electronics and computer recycling thru the Atlantic Canada Electronic Stewardship (ACES) program
we responsibly dispose of used batteries including UPS batteries
