CBCL Limited has participated in a variety of building preservation projects throughout Nova Scotia. Working with our architectural clients, CBCL has provided structural mechanical and electrical expertise to develop building preservation and restoration strategies that deliver modern high-performance building system upgrades while respecting the historic fabric and appearance of older buildings. CBCL can provide expertise in façade restoration, mechanical and electrical building systems upgrades and repair and reinforcement of existing structural systems, with particular attention to the more stringent seismic requirements of current building codes.

CBCL Limited’s approach to preservation projects is to correctly identify investigations of the building project. Those prime objectives are clearly quantified, documented and agreed to by all parties early in the project. This approach has been proven to minimize surprises in terms of cost and schedule.
